Build the Temple

My inspiration for the title of this website was based on two ideas. The first is that, as Christians, we are now the temple of the Lord. The writings and worship tools on this website can help build us up!  In Biblical times in God's temple, the inner sanctuary was the most holy place where the ark of the covenant was. 1 Kings 6:19 "The inner sanctuary he prepared in the innermost part of the house to set there the ark of the covenant of the Lord." Today when a person accepts Jesus as Lord, the Holy Spirit supernaturally comes to live inside that person's heart.  The heart becomes the inner sanctuary, the most holy place where the Lord now resides and the body is the temple.

My second inspiration for the name was for the Lord's temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem.  I feel drawn for the temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem because the Bible seems to indicate second coming of the Lord will happen after the temple is rebuilt.  This can be read in scriptures such as Mark Chapter 13, which speaks about the Signs of the End of the Age.

Creating this website, has also been for me a wonderful work of love for the Lord. I believe Jesus and I have been a team working together on it.  The writings and pictures have given me new revelation and testimonies and strengthened  both my heart and head knowledge of the Lord.  During the writing of it, in a dream, I was told by a man of God, "This is what the Lord says. He says, "Yes, Yes, Yes."  That encouraged me!  Many of the writings are from a project written in 2007, called Christian 101. Since then, it's been a great ministry tool in my life.  Praise the Lord, my writings have been ministering back to me! So this website is also to share, with humility and a thankful heart, what I have learned, felt and observed in my years as a Christian.

Given below are several great scripture references about God's Temple:

Ephesians 2:21-22 "In him the whole building is joined together and and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. "

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple."

John 2:19-21 "Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple and in three days, I will raise it up.  The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days? But the temple he had spoken of was his body."

Zechariah 6:12 "Tell him this is what the LORD Almighty says: "Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the LORD"

Lastly, this site was also written with the desire that someone will be brought to Christ through it.  Moments before it was first published in July of 2009, after all the hours of diligent work that went into it, my partner Glenn and I put our hands on the computer screen and prayed. We prayed "Lord, we ask you to bless this website. We thank you Lord that this site will reach many people. But even if only one person is brought to Christ though this site, then it all has been worth it. For just that one."
